An Art Therapist's Inner Children

This project began in 2016-2017 when she was working on her hours towards licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Art Therapist. She gained the required hours at a residential treatment center working with children who had survived complex trauma. I supposed you could say it awakened those wild parts of her. While doing a certification for Trauma Conscious Yoga Method, she was first introduced to the idea of "Inner Children," and parts work through the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. She looked around her art studio where she was completing the virtual yoga program and realized, she had already painted them, and they were just waiting to be named.
